Extra depth with plexiglass
Placing the photo of your choice behind plexiglass will give your artwork even more depth. It will feel as if you could step into the frame. So how come plexiglass art looks so much more impressive than a work of art in a frame?
By gluing your art onto plexiglass and not directly printing it, the photo will gain an extra dimension due to the fact that plexiglass lets more light through than regular glass. Colours will look brighter, almost brilliant providing optimum depth and contrast. In short: your photo art will look just that little bit more impressive.
Durable and strong
Art on plexiglass looks impressive and very luxurious. It is also very strong and therefore durable. Plexiglass is 30 times stronger than ordinary glass and thus much less vulnerable. Plexiglas lasts for years, while the photo will continue to look like new. Plexiglass is stronger and at the same time much lighter than ordinary glass. Because the plastic is more flexible, it is less likely to break. Shattering will never happen, which is a great thought safety-wise!
How do we glue your photo art onto plexiglass?
We develop real photo prints and glue them between Plexiglas and dibond. Gluing involves a technique in which the photo art is attached to an aluminium plate using silicone glue. The result is a crystal-clear photo with an extra-long lifespan.
High Gloss and Anti-Reflex
You can have your photo printed in a high-gloss or anti-reflex variant. The difference between the two is that anti-reflex plexiglass removes all reflection from the photo. This will give it a true museum-quality look. This is also how you will experience the clearest image! Especially with a dark coloured photo and our anti-reflex option, you can give any room a calm look. Bright colours shine with the high gloss option. The glossy sheen gives the print a little more depth.
Hanging systems
The photo panel has a 'u' shaped aluminium profile on the back all around and can be hung on the wall. If desired, we will do this for you. The profile on the back ensures stability and prevents warping of the panel. Because the profile is two centimetres thick, it creates a floating effect of your artwork on the wall.
Box frames
You can complete your painting or photo art with a nice picture frame. A box frame is a wooden frame that forms a box in which you mount a canvas. It stylishly frames a painting, which is then presented as if it were floating. Our standard colours include black, white or oak. Do you want a different colour? Please contact us.
